The CEDEJ library, which the Center partly inherited from the French School of Law in Cairo, holds around 36,000 volumes and 6,500 maps. It welcomes all researchers and students to its Garden City reading room. In addition to its physical collections, the library offers access to several digital archives, including a fully searchable Egyptian press archive and an Egyptian caricature archive. CEDEJ also published nearly 300 books and booklets since its creation, some of which were digitized and are accessible here.
Opening Hours:
Sunday to Wednesday: 9am - 4pm
Thursday: 9am - 3pm
All books must be consulted on site.
Readers can check out five books at a time.
